Samsung Announces Bada Mobile OS – Open Mobile Platform

Samsung no more depends on Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, Google’s Android or Symbian, as it is developing its own mobile OS known as ‘bada’ which originally means ‘Ocean’ in Korean terms to compete with the iPhone OS, Android and Blackberry OS who have set a mark in the mobile industry. Samsung is going to present an event in London on this December 8 to demonstrate its bada and its features, is scheduled to take place at Vinopolis (Stoney St. entrance), 1Bank End, London SE1 9BU. Samsung Omnia II hits stores on December 2 for $199.99

Verizon’s Samsung Omnia II has finally scheduled to arrive on December 2 on all of its channels i.e., telesales, online and in-store priced at $199.99 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate, according to a tipster from Engadget.  The 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen handset is powered with an internal storage up to 8GB, an additional microSDHC card to expand the memory up to 32GB, 5 megapixel camera and Bluetooth v 2.0 / USB 2.0 / Wi-Fi as its connectivity. Good news is that, the handset runs on the improved version of Windows Mobile 6.5 instead of earlier concerns which stated that the device would run on Windows Mobile 6.1.
