Samsung Announces Bada Mobile OS – Open Mobile Platform
Posted by dillesh on November 29, 2009
Samsung no more depends on Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, Google’s Android or Symbian, as it is developing its own mobile OS known as ‘bada’ which originally means ‘Ocean’ in Korean terms to compete with the iPhone OS, Android and Blackberry OS who have set a mark in the mobile industry. Samsung is going to present an event in London on this December 8 to demonstrate its bada and its features, is scheduled to take place at Vinopolis (Stoney St. entrance), 1Bank End, London SE1 9BU. The event will be organized by Dr. Hosco Lee, EVP and head of the Media Solution Center (MSC) at Samsung Electronics.
The new bada will be based on universal standards and freedom to the developers who can add new features of their own beyond using contacts, the dialer and other utilities. The bada OS lets new software runs on Samsung mobiles and is expected to ship to the markets in the first half of 2010. You can directly access the company’s official website (www.bada.com) starting from December 10th onwards to know the complete information including updates on product launches, features, and event notices about the new mobile OS.
But the disappoint thing here for the Samsung lovers is, they can attend the event only if they receive an official invitation from the Samsung Electronics.
